The birds and the bees – we all remember that “talk”.
Maybe you didn’t have the talk with your mom, maybe you got it at school, or from a big sister, or from reading “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret,” secretly under the covers. Or maybe you tuned your clock radio to Dr. Ruth Westheimer on Sunday nights.
However that conversation happened, you were somewhat prepared for what was coming.
But, did you have a menopause talk with your mom?
Recently I hosted a viewing the the M Factor Film – shredding the silence on menopause. The turnout was standing room only, and we all realize that menopause isn’t a moment, it’s a movement.
So no more whispering about menopause. No more guessing, myths and fear.
It’s time to open the dialogue with our daughters and provide them:
The tools to advocate for their health
To confidently ask the tough questions
To realize the hormonal shifts are normal and that they are not alone.
What would want to tell your daughter about menopause? Let me know below. Check out my recent blog as I recently surveyed the fearlessly facing fifty community and shared some of the feedback.
Thank you to Sally Mueller, CEO of Womaness for the hot pink sweatshirts inspired by her breast cancer journey. Check out the amazing products because we deserve to feel well and look great as we age.
